This is a canine mite that is found on the skin of all dogs; however some dog\'s natural body defense system cannot protect it against the mite. If a dog is found to have an insufficient immunity to the mite it can produce large enough numbers to create skin sores. Skin sores would be the main symptom of this condition. Your veterinarian will likely prescribe antibodics.
